Mr Morin, who retired as chief executive of research and testing body CTC in 2018, has said he is confident Louis Vuitton and Hermès will send two speakers each to the event. He hopes Kering and Chanel will do likewise.
“These companies will offer testimonies about what they have already done on sustainability,” Mr Morin said. “The forum will also give all of us an opportunity to discuss what still needs to be done on sustainability, including on issues such as exotic leather, animal welfare and so on. These are difficult topics, but we need to discuss them.”
