Leathergoods continue to shine for Hermès

26/07/2018
Luxury leathergoods brand Hermès has reported consolidated revenue of €2.85 billion in the first half of 2018, an increase of 11% at constant exchange rates compared to the same period of last year.

The company said it had experienced “solid growth” across all its business areas.

Its leathergoods and saddlery division saw an increase in revenue of 8% to €1.43 billion. It said this was achieved due to continuing strong demand for its classic models, such as the Roulis, Lindy and Cinhetic bags.

Revenue also increased in all geographical areas, with especially strong performance in the Asia excluding Japan region (+14.9%) and the Americas (+12%). Sales in Europe grew 7.8%, led by an 8.2% increase in revenue in France, the brand’s home market.
