Consorzio takes veg-tan leather story to New York
Just as it did at Lineapelle London on July 10, Tuscany’s Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale (Consortium for Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather) will now deliver a special presentation at Lineapelle New York.

In a talk called ‘The Tuscan Way: Veg-tan, what does it mean and what story does it tell?’, Florence-based design professional and specialist in international and creative studies Diane Becker and the Consorzio’s Barbara Mannucci will talk about the culture of the Tuscan leather cluster and the special qualities of the vegetable-tanned leathers it is famous for.

Lineapelle New York takes place at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea on July 17-18 and Italian tanners will use the event to showcase leather collections they have prepared for the autumn-winter 2019-2020 fashion season for New York-based designers.

The Consorzio’s talk on veg-tan leather will take place on the second day, July 18.
