Lineapelle London to include special talk on Tuscan veg-tan leather

In a talk called ‘The Tuscan Way: Veg-tan, what does it mean and what story does it tell?’, speakers Florence-based design professional and specialist in international and creative studies Diane Becker and the Consorzio’s Barbara Mannucci will talk about the culture of the Tuscan leather cluster and the special qualities of the vegetable-tanned leathers it is famous for.
“It is very rare today to know where things come from and how they are made,” the speakers said in the build-up to the event. “Products, materials, ingredients are just there, ready to be used, transformed and consumed. But we need to look upstream to understand the whole picture.”
