Hong Kong is a bright spot for Salvatore Ferragamo

The company said its sales had grown in Europe by 1.4% and in the Asia-Pacific region by 1.2%. Within Asia, it said sales in China had been steady considering the high level of growth (18%) that Salvatore Ferragamo recorded in that market in the first quarter of last year.
In Hong Kong, however, where sales were down at that start of 2017, the figure for the first quarter of this year was up by more than 30%.
There were declines in sales in other key markets, though, including a fall of 6.1% in North America and of 6.4% in Japan.
