Former Ferragamo chief executive to lead Stuart Weitzman

US leathergoods group Tapestry, formerly known as Coach Inc., has appointed Eraldo Poletto as CEO and president of its Stuart Weitzman high-end footwear brand.

He will take over from Wendy Kahn on April 30. She has been in the role since September 2016.

Mr Poletto left his position as chief executive of luxury group Salvatore Ferragamo in March after only 18 months. 

Tapestry chief executive, Victor Luis, said: “In Eraldo, we have found a leader who, over the last 30 years, has acquired both the global luxury experience and deep understanding of iconic brands to drive results. He brings a proven, successful track record in building and engaging teams and in developing and maximising international growth across all fashion categories.”
