Luxury group Burberry has reported its results for the third quarter of its business year, the months of October, November and December 2016, with revenues of £735 million, an increase of 4%.

The company described as “exceptional” its performance in its home market, the UK, where comparable sales growth reached 40%. There was also growth in the rest of Europe (particularly in France), as well as in China and the wider Asia-Pacific region (excluding Hong Kong).

Burberry also said its accessories category, led by bags, had “outperformed” expectations.
