Finished leather exports fail to recover in Bangladesh’s full financial year results

This figure, which comes from the country’s official export promotions bureau, represents growth of 2.6% compared to the total for the previous financial year.
There was growth of more than 50% for exports of leathergoods, reaching $388.2 million. The figures also indicate an increase, in this case of 2.3%, of leather shoes from Bangladesh, which brought in revenues of $494.8 million. However, there was a decline in the exports of finished leather of more than 30%, dropping to $277.9 million.
