Italian schools’ leather project draws to a conclusion

21/01/2016
Amici per la Pelle, the programme run by the Italian leather industry to promote the sector to students, is nearing its conclusion, with the winning works from secondary schools revealed in February.

The winners from the five districts - Castelfranco di Sotto, Ponte a Egola, Santa Maria a Monte, Fucecchio and Santa Croce - will then take part in a national final during leather fair Lineapelle in Milan (February 23 to 25).

Students have been asked to submit designs and projects based on locally sourced leather, with the hope of attracting the next generation into the tanneries and leather companies.
