Thai tannery Chai Watana Group (CWT) has set up an automotive-focused seating joint-venture with NHK Springholds in Cambodia, according to financial publication Deal Street Asia.

Construction of the Poipet-based facility will take a year, beginning in April, and will be 25% owned by CWT with the rest owned by NHK Springholds.

“The joint venture will help us penetrate the market in Cambodia and will boost our sales aggressively,” said CWT managing director Weerapon Chaiteerath.
