CLIA launches new weekly report on hide prices in China
09/01/2015
CLIA said that, from the start of 2015, it would publish a summary of cattle hide prices in Gansu province, one of the country’s most important cattle-raising areas, as well as prices for yak hides in Tibet, Qinghai and Gansu. Heifer and calf hides also feature.
Published each Wednesday on the CLIA website, the report gives prices in renminbi. And although heifer and calf hide prices are given per piece, the price for other materials in the report are per square-chi, a Chinese unit of measurement equivalent to slightly less than 1.2 square-feet.
“We believe this report will help buyers and sellers stay well informed of market trends and changes,” CLIA said on launching the service.
