“Meat exports allow those in the grain industry to put a higher value on the commodity we produce, and it’s a win-win for both the grain industry and the livestock industry,” he said.
“I chaired a USMEF communications committee which allowed me to become deeply involved in the organisation’s strategic planning process. This was extremely beneficial for me, because I was able to rub elbows with, and learn so much from, some of the great leaders of the US livestock and grain industries, as well as the packing and processing sectors.”
