High-end restaurant chain Goodman Group sent a team to Nebraska recently to see at first hand the production set up at a farm from which it sources beef.

London-based Goodman Group, which has 10 restaurants in the London metropolitan area and plans to open one in New York, specialises in serving grain-fed beef from the US.

The Nebraska farm its team visited is run by Mark Jagels, current chairman of the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF). Mr Jagels , who raises corn and soybeans and manages a cattle feeding operation near Davenport, has explained that his facility has become a regular stop for the Goodman team. The company has been carrying out visits like this for five years.
