Italian leather producers on Ethiopia’s radar

The Italian ambassador to Ethiopia, Giuseppe Mistretta, is planning to bring Italian tanners and leathergoods manufacturers to Ethiopia with an eye to boost investment in the industry there.

He said Italy is particularly keen to develop strong trade and investment links with the African country.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn last week held talks with 25 Italian companies in the capital, Addis Ababa.
