Designers challenged to produce veg-tanned collection for Le Cuir

For the September edition of France-based leather show Le Cuir a Paris, tanneries and designers from Tuscany have been tasked with creating a collection based on vegetable-tanned leather.

Visitors are encouraged to visit the area, ‘Craft the Leather’, to vote for the most innovative project.

The winners will receive a week of training from Tuscan tanners, collectively organised as the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale, and will receive a prize from the Tuscany Regional Promotion Bureau and the Pisa Chamber of Commerce.
