$40 billion JBS will stay simple to keep growing

Its earnings on this figure were $2.6 billion before tax, an increase of 39% year on year.
The group’s chief executive, Wesley Mendonc¸a Batista, said on announcing the figures: “Our biggest challenge is to keep growing in a consistent and solid way while keeping our commitment to simplicity, our attention to detail. We want our people to take care of our processes and not for our processes to start dictacting the work our people do.”
Mr Batista went on to say he has observed many companies through the years that, as they have grown, have allowed “bureaucracy and complexity to take over” in the day-to-day running of the business, compromising growth.
