Higher attendance at Le Cuir à Paris

Each of the six Première Vision Pluriel shows including Le Cuir à Paris registered increases this year. Total visitor numbers at the show, which ran February 9-12, rose 6.3% compared with the February 2008 event. Around 1,500 exhibitors attended the show in total.

Focusing on Le Cuir à Paris, 224 exhibitors, including 17 new companies, took part. The main exhibiting countries were Italy (48%), France (24%) and Spain (9%). The breakdown in terms of sector were: finished leather (60%), textiles for accessories (10%), exotic leathers (10%), components (8%), fur (6%), products and services (4%) and raw hides, skins and chemicals (2%).

A total of 10,226 visitors attended the show, with 60% travelling from abroad. This represents an increase of around 2% compared with February 2009. Visitor numbers from France rose 9%, from Germany increased by 19%, from Belgium grew 12%, from the US rose 6% and from Italy grew 19 %.

The next edition will run September 14-16.
