Applied DNA is a New York-based molecular technology provider. Its technology solutions are in use, helping protect products, brands, entire supply chains, and intellectual property from theft and counterfeiting.
Stahl’s idea is to apply molecular tagging to the chemicals and coatings it supplies to leather manufacturers. The company’s director of sustainability, Mike Costello, said the technology has “the capability to improve traceability”.
For his part, Applied DNA chief executive, Dr James Hayward, said the agreement should accelerate his company’s entry into the leather market.
