Francisco Javier Jardí, the technical manager of the leather department at Spanish company Cromogenia-Units, S.A., has announced his retirement at age 65, after 38 years in the chemical profession.

He studied chemical engineering in Barcelona and after some years in industry joined the team of commercial technicians at Cromogenia’s leather department. He took charge of the export market up to 1996 when he became general manager of that department. He is a well-known expert in the international leather industry and plans to remain involved in the industry even after his retirement.
