High prices fail to dent buyer interest at decovision
This year’s interzum/decovision, held at the KölnMesse, Cologne May 18-22, is reported to have attracted 60,000 visitors from 117 different countries.
Whereas interzum concentrates on wood interiors, decovision is much more clearly focused on furniture leather and cover materials. This year’s event was the second in the series, with 68 exhibitors being represented at decovision.
Despite the high prices, high quality leathers were reportedly greatly in demand this year, as were leathers with a natural appearance and visible grain structures. Strong visitor interest was also noted in the latest generation of precision leather cutting systems. The next decovision will take place May 23-27 2003
