Solofra wastewater plant set for overhaul

According to local media reports, the Campania Region has launched a programme to modernise the wastewater treatment plant serving Italy's Solofra tannery district, with plans to improve efficiency, upgrade infrastructure and address odour emissions.

The initiative includes the reorganisation of plant management and the refurbishment of treatment sections and the associated collector network. The works are intended to improve operational performance, support compliance with environmental objectives and ensure continuity of service.

The Solofra plant is a key piece of infrastructure for the region, treating wastewater from the area's leather manufacturing sector as well as part of the local residential community. Local media said the project forms part of a wider strategy to strengthen water infrastructure and adapt facilities to evolving environmental requirements.
