Shoes & Leather Vietnam reports strong turnout
The 26th International Shoes and Leather Exhibition, incorporating the 26th International Footwear & Leather Products Exhibition attracted 10,116 professional visitors from 88 countries and regions when they took place at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City on July 8-10, 2026.
Organisers reported that 581 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions participated, occupying 20,000m² of exhibition space. The event covered the full footwear and leather supply chain, from materials, leather, chemicals and machinery to smart technologies, finished footwear, handbags and suitcases.
Footwear materials represented the largest exhibitor category at 20%, followed by leather and hides (13.9%), accessories and components (13.5%), and tanning machinery, leather goods and sewing machinery (12.7%). Shoe machinery accounted for a further 11% of exhibitors, while chemicals represented 8.3% of the total.
China accounted for the largest share of exhibitors at 41.3%, followed by Vietnam (25.2%), Taiwan (7.5%), Italy (5.8%) and India (3.2%). Visitor analysis showed that 37.1% of attendees were active in the leather and footwear materials sector, while 23.2% were involved in finished products and 17.3% represented machinery businesses. Organisers also reported that 57% of visitors held C-suite or management positions.
Alongside the exhibition, a programme of seminars examined topics including PFAS regulations, ZDHC footwear engagement and footwear comfort assessment, highlighting key technical and regulatory issues facing the footwear and leather industries.
