Uruguay leather exports decline in H1 2026
Uruguay’s leather and leather goods exports fell 19% in the first half of 2026 to US$35 million, compared with US$44 million a year earlier, according to export agency Uruguay XXI.
Datamar data showed leather-sector shipments declined to 46 TEUs in the first five months, from 75 TEUs in the same period of 2025.
