Louis Vuitton extends FIFA World Cup collaboration
Louis Vuitton has unveiled the bespoke Trophy Trunk for the FIFA World Cup 2026 ahead of the tournament final, marking the fifth consecutive World Cup for which the French luxury house has created the official case.
Handcrafted at the company's historic workshops in Asnières-sur-Seine, near Paris, the trunk is designed to transport and display the FIFA World Cup Trophy. It features Louis Vuitton's signature Monogram canvas, leather trim, gold-plated brass fittings and a light beige leather-lined interior.
The 2026 edition includes hand-painted golden "V" motifs on the front panels, representing both "Victory" and "Vuitton". The design also incorporates archival-inspired locks and corner protectors based on Louis Vuitton trunk-making designs dating back to the 1860s.
Louis Vuitton first created a FIFA World Cup Trophy Trunk for the 2010 tournament in South Africa and has continued the collaboration through the 2014, 2018, 2022 and now 2026 editions. The partnership forms part of the company's wider "Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton" campaign, which links its heritage in luxury trunk-making with major international sporting events.
Alongside the official Trophy Trunk, Louis Vuitton has also launched a limited-edition collection inspired by the design under its licensing agreement with FIFA.
