Milestone year for PrimeAsia

25/06/2026

Leather manufacturing group PrimeAsia has published a new sustainability report, covering its activity in 2025.

An important focus last year for the group was setting out a new five-year roadmap, setting targets for 2030. It said it wanted to strengthen its commitment to circularity and climate action “through time-bound targets”.

Based on its 2025 figures, it said it was on track to meet most of these targets. For example, it calculated that it was 85% of the way to meeting its objective of having zero hazardous chemicals in its direct operations and raw material inputs by 2030.

But it also shared that a target of having 100% traceability to the birth farm or group of birth farms for the hides it processes “needs attention”. In 2025, it was only 17% along the road to meeting that target.

Chief executive, Jon Clark, said he was pleased that one of PrimeAsia’s achievements last year was the verification of its science-based emissions reduction targets. “This is a remarkable achievement,” he said, “one that reflects our ambition and deepens our accountability as an industry leader.”

The group’s chief sustainability officer, Camille Mori, said 2025 had been “a milestone year”, one that had set the foundation for “the next decade of our environmental and social ambitions”.
