Maserati partnership talks under way, says Stellantis CEO
Stellantis is in discussions with two potential partners for Maserati, CEO Antonio Filosa of Stellantis told Italian lawmakers in Rome, according to a Bloomberg report.
Mr Filosa said the companies being considered could provide technology and other capabilities for Maserati’s future development, but did not name them. He added that Maserati and the Cassino plant are not for sale and said Cassino’s future is closely linked to the brand.
He said any arrangement would follow a joint venture model similar to Stellantis’ existing partnerships with Leapmotor and Dongfeng Motor, with Stellantis typically holding a 51% stake.
Filosa also noted potential implications for Stellantis’ Modena and Pomigliano plants as part of the group’s broader industrial planning in Italy.
A new Maserati strategy is due in December and will include two new key models.
