Crest Leather invests in new US facility
According to local media reports, London-based Crest Leather is expanding its operations in Greensboro, North Carolina, with plans to build a new warehouse and office facility.
The company will invest approximately $13.27 million (€11.5 million) in the 93,450 sq ft development, which will be constructed by Landmark Builders on Piedmont Triad Parkway. Crest Leather said the project is being driven by continued growth in the premium leather furniture sector in the US market.
The company plans to occupy around 33,500 sq ft of the new building, with the remaining space to be offered for lease. Crest currently operates a warehouse and office facility in Greensboro and also has a showroom in High Point.
Local media reports quoted vice-president and chief financial officer Mark Wilson as saying Greensboro remains a strategic location for distributing finished leather hides from the company's Italian tanneries to furniture manufacturers across North America.
