DNV awards ESG recognition to Dani
Italian tannery group Dani recently received ESG Recognition from DNV, an international testing, certification and technical advisory service to the energy value chain, becoming the first tannery in Italy to obtain the certification.
The recognition confirms that the company has implemented certified management systems supporting environmental, social and governance performance, and that these systems are embedded within its organisational structure.
The certification is based on internationally recognised standards, including ISO 14001 for environmental management, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety and ISO 9001 for quality management. These frameworks are used to structure processes and support continuous improvement across operations.
The relationship between DANI and DNV spans nearly 30 years, beginning with the first certification in 1997. The collaboration has since developed through ongoing work in quality, sustainability, safety and innovation.
The ESG Recognition also provides a mechanism for verifying the company’s certified systems through a dedicated QR code, offering access to information on their scope and application.
The recognition was presented during a ceremony attended by local authorities, representatives of DNV, Acque del Chiampo and company management, reflecting engagement across institutional and industry stakeholders.
