Tod’s chairman calls for brands to set a good example
A 16-month project to restore Palazzo Marino, Milan’s city hall, has finished, with 7,500 square metres of interior and exterior façades renewed through cleaning and protective treatments, as well as the renewal of plasterwork and pointing.
The work was funded by Italian leathergoods brand Tod’s Group, whose chairman has called on brands to act in a community-minded way.
Diego Della Valle said: “With this project, our group continues to support and promote Italian art and culture, invaluable resources recognised worldwide.
"It is a tangible form of civic engagement, based on collaboration between the public and private sectors to support initiatives that improve citizens’ quality of life and enhance the reputation of our country.
“Companies must become increasingly involved in meaningful and supportive projects for the benefit of our nation. It is important to set a good example.”
