The Della Valle brothers have received honorary citizenship from the municipality of Arquata del Tronto for their support after the 2016 earthquake.
In response to the 2016 earthquake in Ascoli Piceno, Italy, the owners of Tod's Group, Diego Della Valle and his brother Andrea, funded and built a new Tod's factory in the region to support the community's recovery.
The factory, spanning 2,000 square meters, represented a €10 million investment with aims to boost the local economy and provide job opportunities. The inauguration ceremony was attended by regional president Ceriscioli and Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
The Della Valle brothers' commitment extends beyond economic investments; the Tod's Group also donates 1% of its net profit to support initiatives for the community's vulnerable segments. The late mayor Aleandro Petrucci awarded them honorary citizenship, recognising their substantial contributions to the community.
The project and recognition reflect Tod's Group's ongoing dedication to supporting the Ascoli Piceno community and demonstrate how private enterprises can contribute to long-term recovery and resilience in disaster-stricken areas.
