Beef values up, but volumes down for Tyson

07/05/2026

Meat and wet blue processor Tyson has reported revenues of just under $28 billion for the first six months of its current business year, the period ending March 28, 2026.

This corresponds to an increase of 4.7% compared to the same period a year earlier.

Beef was by far the group’s biggest source of revenue, with sales of just under $11 billion, a rise of 4.2% year on year.

However, the group reported that the volume of beef it sold in the six-month period was down by more than 10%. It quoted US Department of Agriculture figures that suggest domestic production of beef will decrease by approximately 2% in the course of Tyson’s current financial year.
