Argentineans and Vietnamese pledge greater cooperation
The Argentinean ambassador to Vietnam, Marcos Antonio Bednarski, met with officials from Da Nang in a bid to strengthen trade relations between the two.
Local press reported that 90% of Argentina’s exports to the South East Asian country are for the leather and agriculture sectors, while leather products are then exported back to Argentina.
Last December, Argentinean tannery group Sadesa opened a $20 million LEED Gold certified facility in Ho Chi Mihn City, focusing on leather for the athletic footwear sector.
At the meeting, the officials from Da Nang said they were speeding up the establishment of a first Free Trade Zone, which would open more opportunities for overseas partners.
