Brazil earned a total of $102.2 million in exports during the first month of the year, which is 3.1% higher than the amount earned in January 2023. The total area exported was 15.3 million square meters, indicating a growth of 5.5% from the previous year. 

The three major importers of Brazilian exports were China, the United States, and Italy.

At the Lineapelle fair, where Rogério Cunha from CICB's Trade Intelligence provided the report, the Brazilian Leather project participated and showcased the work of five Brazilian tanneries including Couro & Arte, Courovale, Curtume Bolzano, Fuga Couros, and Nova Kaeru.
