Brazilian tanners hit the road
Leather manufacturers from Brazil will be in attendance at the upcoming Lineapelle New York and India International Leather Fair events.
Tanners’ participation has the support of the Brazilian Leather project, an export initiative run by national leather industry body CICB and trade and investment promotion agency ApexBrasil.
At the New York event, which takes place on January 31 and February 1, there will be 13 Brazilian tanneries showcasing their latest collections. CICB has said this is a high level of participation, reflecting the importance of the US market to Brazilian leather.
In 2023 alone, the US was the destination of 16% of all leather exported by Brazilian companies.
Overlapping with New York, four Brazilian leather manufacturers will be present at the India International Leather Fair, which takes place in Chennai from February 1-3. CICB will also have a stand at the Chennai event.
