New set-up in Brazil for Zünd
Cutting technology provider Zünd Systemtechnik has established a new subsidiary company in Brazil, acquiring a long-standing partner company there, Porto Alegre-based BG Soluções Tecnológicas.
BG Soluções Tecnológicas was founded in 1981 by Sergio and Paulo Guerra and has been an official sales and service partner of Zünd’s since 1990.
Now wholly owned by the Swiss group, the company will operate as Zünd Brasil and will move its offices to São Paulo. It will open a dedicated showroom there to allow customers to see at first-hand how Zünd’s digital cutting technology works.
The new subsidiary company will have Cristiano Guerra as its chief executive and 10 employees in total. The group has said Zünd could expand further in Latin America, where it said it sees “significant market potential”.
Group chief executive, Oliver Zünd, said the new set-up would allow the technology provider us to strengthen its business in Brazil and expand its customer base there.
