Inaugural sustainability report for Vesta Corporation

Vesta Corporation, a tannery based in Tuscany, has recently released its inaugural Sustainability Report.

The report outlines the company's current and future objectives for innovating, safeguarding, and promoting high-quality leather processing. Established in 1966, Vesta has been supplying and partnering with the most important haute couture and sportswear brands.

Committed to producing high-quality leather products while adhering to ethical practices, reliability, and performance standards. They have recently prepared a 2022 Sustainability Report to showcase their efforts and refer to the “Global Reporting Initiative Sustainability Reporting Standards” established by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

The company has implemented improvements in environmental, social, and governance areas, such as upgrading heating and processing plants using 4.0 technology, which saves energy, water, and money. Vesta has also achieved excellent scores in Raw Material Traceability and Carbon and Water Footprint analysis, along with numerous corporate certifications, including a gold rating from the Leather Working Group for its commitment to improving corporate performance.

The company aims to become energy-independent by installing a photovoltaic plant and is working on reducing water and energy use. Vesta is also adopting circular trends with bio-based products to ensure sustainable end-of-life and waste management.
