German Leather chemicals group Pulcra Chemicals has launched  Sirial A Natur, a bio-based innovation aimed at the automotive leather industry, applicable to both wet blue and wet white tannages including more recent novel tanning chemistries involving zeolite.

With a minimum of 80% renewable carbon content, Sirial A Natur is part of the high renewable carbon content Naturalis product range, and is said to reduce the carbon footprint by at least 150kg CO2e/t of product, when compared to similar systems using mineral oils.

Specifications list reduced heat yellowing, impressive light fastness, and superior fogging performance.
