Polestar achieves record deliveries
Electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar has reported its worldwide delivery figures for Q3 2023.
The company delivered approximately 13,900 vehicles in this quarter, representing a 50% growth rate compared to the previous year. The growth was attributed to the sales of the upgraded and higher-priced Polestar 2 model, which has significantly improved the company's margin.
In the first nine months of this year, Polestar delivered about 41,700 vehicles, marking a 37% YoY growth rate. The deliveries of Polestar 4 in China are also expected to begin during the fourth quarter, which means that the brand is still aiming to deliver around 60,000-70,000 vehicles in 2023.
Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO, expressed his satisfaction with the results, stating, "We have delivered a strong quarter and expect higher margins for the rest of the year, as we continue to prioritize value over volume in our business. We are excited to soon have a compelling range of three distinctive cars, including two luxury SUVs, each addressing an exclusive luxury EV segment. With this, Polestar enters an exciting new period."
