Italian tannery to present hemp-tanned leather

Italian tannery Conceria Nuova Impala will present leathers tanned (in part) using hemp extracts at the upcoming Lineapelle show in Milan (September 19 to 21).

The tannery was established in Santa Croce sull’Arno by the Caponi and Vannucci families, and continues to be run by their sons.

It is focused on the footwear and leathergoods sectors and is a member of the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Foundation.

It has recently invested in new automated tanning drums that it said are safer for workers.
