JBS to take 1,500 employees to Australia
Food and tannery group JBS will take 1,500 employees from Brazil to Australia as part of the JBS Sem Fronteiras Programme.
JBS is one of Brazil’s largest employers, with a 140,000-strong workforce. Globally, it employs 260,000 in 24 countries.
Its tannery division, JBS Couros, is one of the world’s largest, with 20 production units and three cutting plants.
Fernando Meller, senior human resources officer of JBS Brazil, said: “We are a global company with a solid culture and a focus on having the right people in the right places. Our mission is to create opportunities for a better future for all our employees, which is why we put so much faith in the JBS Sem Fronteiras programme.”
