Strong performance from Burberry
Preliminary results for Burberry for the 12 months ending March 31 suggest revenues of almost £3.1 billion, growth of 10% year on year.
Chief executive of the London-based brand, Jonathan Akeroyd, said good progress in its core leathergoods business had supported “a strong financial performance”. He said revenues had accelerated in the fourth quarter (the first three months of 2023) as growth rebounded in China.
Leathergoods sales increased by 12% across Burberry’s business year as a whole, and by 15% in the final quarter.
