The UK’s Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists (SLTC) held its 2023 international conference on April 22 as a hybrid event, hosted by the University of Northampton.

Following a varied programme of presentations during the day, the society held its annual dinner dance where the official handover of the presidency was carried out.

Handing over the presidency, John Hubbard, from FIRA International, presented the chain of office to Professor William Wise, from the Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT).

Professor Wise thanked Mr Hubbard for his service as president for the past two years and looked forward to continuing the progress that the society has made.
