Luxury brand Louis Vuitton has appointed Marie-Josephine Collin as the new head of materials development for runway collections in its leather department.

Ms Collin successfully completed a four-year course in chemical engineering, with a focus on leather, at Itech in Lyon in 2021. Itech is one of four academic institutions that will deliver the new master’s degree programme in innovative leather technology that is launching this year.

On completing the course, Marie-Josephine Collin went to the Netherlands to work on development projects at Ecco Leather.
