Pittards gets a brand makeover

With almost 200 years of history, Somerset-based leather manufacturer Pittards have undergone a rebranding.

Working with local marketing services company Quantock, the rebranding has taken account of the vast history of the company, using ideas from promotional material going back to the early 1900’s.

With refreshed script lettering, the concept was to rebrand using the existing mark but with a more cohesive appearance and to bring back a crest that hasn’t been used on marketing material since the 1950’s.  The Pittards oak tree, seen on the crest at their Yeovil tannery and head office, has now been refined and reimagined to make it an integral component of the brand identity of the organisation.

Speaking of the new rebranding, Debbie Burton, Director of Marketing at Pittards said on social media: “The grasp of heritage combined with an importance of moving forward was immediate. We love the new logo and enjoy seeing it on YTFC each week too!” The latter a reference to their sponsorship of Yeovil Town football club.
