Industry veteran Hunter Tait stepped down from his role as chairman of New Zealand-based leather manufacturer Tasman Tanning Company at the start of the year.
Hunter Tait worked at the company for decades and was its managing director from 1998 until 2018. Tasman Tanning said his experience, knowledge and expertise in the hide and leather industry had contributed significantly to the growth and success of the company.
Its new chairman is Richie Smith. Tasman Tanning said his background in agriculture, farming, meat processing, manufacturing, dairy, telecommunications and technology would help “bring a new perspective to the company”.
