Italy’s Green Week festival took place again in 2022, with Parma as the host city.
has been a national event promoted this year by ItalyPost , the Symbola Foundation and Corriere della Sera newspaper. This year’s edition took place in Parma from June 7 – 12 and attracted the most important exponents of the economy, finance and institutions attentive to sustainability issues as protagonists.
Following a now traditional format, the festival took place in mid-June in two parts: factory visits, followed by events in the host city. Italy’s National Tanning Association, UNIC, was one of the main protagonists during the whole of Green Week.
The first part of the week was occupied by visits to sustainable enterprises. Organised by UNIC, participating companies in the leather sector included Conceria Montebello, TFL, Dal Maso Group, SICIT, Gemata and Medio Chiampo. Visitors included students from various Italian universities, who received explanations about sustainability initiatives in the Italian tanning sector.
In the second half of Green Week in Parma, the Italian tanning sector and its supply chain took part in a number of events with a view to strengthening its image and highlighting its sustainability efforts.
