Limited-edition bags feature in Monte Carlo sale
Paris-based auction house Artcurial is to host a sale of luxury bags at the Hermitage hotel in Monte Carlo on January 19. Bags from brands including Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton will feature prominently.
Hermès bags in the sale include Birkin, Kelly and Constance models. In the build-up to the event, Artcurial’s luxury bags expert, Alice Léger (pictured), picked out “a magnificent Micro Constance in black alligator skin with metallic hardware in rose gold, and an adorable Kelly in yellow calfskin” as particular highlights.
The sale of bags will be part of a week-long sales event at the hotel, which will also include jewellery and watches. Artcurial described the event as an opportunity for collectors from all over the world to find sought-after, limited-edition pieces.
