Marcus Rashford to work with Burberry on literacy project
Youth advocate and footballer Marcus Rashford is to work with luxury brand Burberry to support a children’s literacy initiative.
Burberry asked the Manchester United and England national team striker to work with it to support a series of organisations that help disadvantaged children to develop their literacy skills.
It will provide funding to transform school libraries and donate books to make sure children have access to resources that can help them develop their potential.
Marcus Rashford, who previously developed a Book Club project for children, commented: “Far too many children do not currently have access to books, typically because of financial restraints, and there was a need to inspire them and allow them to see beyond the challenges they face daily.”
