Reopened exhibitions are a show of confidence
Leather industry exhibitions Lineapelle and Simac-Tanning Tech opened in Milan on September 22. The events will run for three days.
It’s the first time since the start of the covid pandemic in early 2020 that the exhibitions have been fully open to visitors, with Lineapelle attracting finished leather buyers from across the fashion and luxury sector, Simac showing new developments in footwear machinery and Tanning Tech showcasing the latest innovations in leather manufacturing technology.
The president of one of the Tanning Tech exhibitors, Cartigliano, Dr Toni Polato, told leatherbiz he was glad to see the exhibitions running more or less the way they have always done, albeit with extra health and hygiene measures to prevent covid cases.
“It’s important for us all to be here,” Dr Polato said, “and just by being here we are making a statement. It’s important that we show confidence about the future.”
