Latest World Leather available in electronic form
The August-September 2021 issue of World Leather is now available in electronic format in the WL Digital section of the website.
In this issue, Trumpler gives further information about its detailed analysis of chemical oxygen demand, and Cromegenia compares fatliquoring agents with conventional oils. Our technical section continues with an overview of GSC Group’s volatile organic compound-free silicones, and we hear from Gemata about its efforts to prevent overspray.
Spinnova co-founder Juha Salmela gives us some extra insight into the Finnish company’s foray into leather and we revisit LCAs and their limitations. Nothing to Hide focuses on changes that meat producers are likely to face in the decade ahead, and we focus on how leather could play a key part in the EU’s plans to create green jobs.
To highlight leather’s place in the circular economy, our circular stories this time include German brand Hanwag’s long-lasting footwear and new brand Sieme, which uses offcuts from high-end Italian leathergoods manufacturers.
